Feels like Halloween around here!

Halloween has always been a favorite of mine, but when we had Presley my excitement level for Halloween tripled! Her first Halloween she was 8 months old and definitely not old enough to enjoy it, but this year it’s a whole new ballgame! After visiting a few different Halloween stores and playing in Target’s Halloween section multiple times a week, I knew I would have to actually decorate for the holiday this year!

Presley still isn’t old enough to carve pumpkins but we bought a few anyways and decorated them without carving! The white pumpkin was my choice and i freehanded a plaque design with chalkboard paint and wrote BOO! Drake’s choice was the little Darth Vader pumpkin (the kit is sold at Home Depot) The pumpkin that is kind of hidden is a covered in a lace sleeve we bought at Target! We Bought a couple of mums as well but I think a nice wreath would really complete the front entry!

This is our entry table that is to your left when you walk through the front door. We added a pumpkin to a cake stand we already owned and put a little pipe cleaner spider and mini pumpkin in one of our apothecary jars we had lying around. The window pane usually holds pictures of our family and cards from friends but I thought it would be a fun place to add some little witch hats! I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the hats with designs I bought from their online store.

Presley loves pointing to them and saying Hat so I am thinking I will have to do this for more holidays! Maybe some autumn leaves for Thanksgiving or little turkeys may be cute. For Christmas we display our holiday cards here but maybe I will add in some little trees as well!

Our console table that sits under the TV has just a few little things, like Presley’s beautiful painted pumpkin she did at a little play date last week.

On the other side are two little owls that I wouldn’t mind leaving up year round! The big lantern owl was a gift from Pottery barn and the smaller orange one was a Target buy!

The last place in the living room we added some Halloween decor to was our corner bookcase. I found this trio of Jack O’ Lanterns at goodwill last week and for $1.25 for all three I could not pass them up! At night we turn on battery powered votives and they give them such a fun glow!

The last place we added anything to was the dining room, this is by far my favorite room in the house and the Halloween stuff just adds to it! I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the bats and just double stick taped them up to the wall. I didn’t have a specific pattern in mind so I just put a few up and stepped back to look at how it was going before adding more.

I have never been one to go all out for a holiday, but something about having a baby around just makes me want to make every holiday no matter how big or small, as much fun as possible! We have a little photo shoot planned with her costume this weekend and I can’t wait to show yall!

Happy Saturday yall!
